Real Savings & Perks I Can Get You

February 23, 2026 · 4 min read

One of the most common questions I get is: "What can you actually get me that I can't get myself?" Fair question. I had the same question before I became a travel agent myself, looked under the hood on how this industry actually works, and here's the honest answer: a lot. And my hotel booking service? Completely free to you.

Through my partnerships with the world's top hotel brands and being part of different consortiums like Virtuoso, Small Luxury Hotels, Leading Hotels of the World, and hotel programs like Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Hyatt Privé, Marriott STARS & Luminous, and Hilton Impresario, I have access to perks, rates, and deals that aren't available through online booking sites or even the hotel's own website. Here's how it breaks down.

Lower rates. I regularly book hotels at rates below what you'd find online. I once booked a hotel in Tokyo for $270 a night that was listed at $475 on Expedia. I've saved clients $200 at The William Vale in New York and gotten 30% off the regular member rate at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. These aren't rare wins — they happen frequently. Once booked, I also track prices like Google Flights alerts. If the rate drops and you booked a refundable rate, I'll check with you to see if you want me to rebook at the lower price. You don't lift a finger.

Direct perks. Most of my bookings come with tangible benefits built in. Complimentary breakfast for two, hotel credits you can use for dining, spa, or even laundry depending on the property. These typically add $100–$200+ in value per stay and don't cost you anything extra. For example, most Virtuoso hotel bookings come with a $100 food and beverage or spa credit in addition to all the other perks.

Exclusive deals. I have access to promotions that regular travelers can't see. Things like stay three nights, get one free. These are separate from rate savings and can stack on top of other perks.

Priority upgrades. When you book through me, you're higher on the upgrade list than those who book direct or through credit card programs like Chase or AMEX FHR. It's not guaranteed, but when it hits, the value can be significant. I once booked the standard room at Six Senses Douro Valley and got upgraded to a full suite with a balcony.

The little things that aren't that little. Welcome champagne, a bottle of wine, snacks waiting in your room. Early check-in. Late checkout — I've gotten late checkout extended to 8pm in Jakarta for a late night flight. At Amanzoe in Greece, we requested late checkout and they approved it. They moved us out of our existing villa and into an entirely new one for an extra five hours, just because we had late checkout through my booking. These touches add up.

I'll always be upfront about what I can get you, what I can't, and what's up in the air until you arrive. And if you find a better deal somewhere, send it my way. I'll reach out to the hotel to try to match it and add perks on top. If I can't, I'll tell you.
