About Alice

How it started

I've always been a planner. Back when I was working in finance and tech, I'd plan my own trips in hour-by-hour blocks in Google Docs and share them with friends heading to the same destinations. I kept a running doc of recommendations with Google Maps links for every city I visited. I was building my own travel knowledge base long before this became a business.

When my husband and I decided to take 9 months off, we gave up our apartment lease, put everything in storage, and set out to see the world with just two carry-ons. 36 countries and only back in the US three times. I actually started working as a travel agent during the sabbatical itself. It just made sense. I could get us lower rates, free perks, priority upgrades, and access to tools and resources that most travelers don't even know exist. I started booking for friends and family along the way, and by the time we landed back home in New York, I was ready to do this for real.

Where I've been

All seven continents. 36 countries during the sabbatical, 49 total and counting. I spent 40 consecutive days in Japan, three weeks on safari in East Africa, two months in South America, and made it all the way to Antarctica. I dove with whale sharks in Raja Ampat, hiked through Madeira, crossed the salt flats in Bolivia, rode horses through Middle Eastern deserts, and eaten my way through more cities than I can count. I've stayed at Amans, and I've stayed at $40-a-night airport hotels. I know what's worth it at every price point.

I'm not recommending places from a brochure. I've been there. I've walked the streets, slept in the beds, and figured out where the money matters and where it doesn't. When I tell you a place is great, it's because I've seen it myself.

My philosophy

Transparency first. I'll never recommend something that doesn't make sense for your budget. If a hotel isn't worth the price, I'll tell you. If there's a better option, I'll find it.

Responsive, always. When you reach out, you'll hear back. Quickly. And if something's still in progress, I'll let you know that too. No one likes waiting in the dark.

No pressure, ever. I'm always happy to have you price-check with me. If I can't beat it or add value, I'll tell you. The goal is for you to feel confident in every booking.

Real added value. Through my partnerships with the world's top hotel brands, I can unlock upgrades, credits, and perks that aren't available when you book directly. The math always works in your favor.
